Hi all, my first post here, and I'm new to all this.

Where do you guys get your handfuls of vouchers from? Looked thorough the site, and found a Word document with some, but no more. Is that it? ;D (i'm a skint student!! need to save where ever i can!!!!!)

Also, does this apply to tesco express?

    Thanks all!!!!!
  • Some of them are the internet ones but if you register with some of the newspapers they send you coupons - FT and guardian - register for anything going - cat foo, dog food - a lot of the freebies have coupons sent with them - if you go back through this thread you will find where to apply for some vouchers- anadin etc, good luck!
  • Got all my vouchers rejected in Tescos tonight - "you have to buy the product now" and it was one of the nice check out operator who lets me put anything thru!

Anyone else got the same response this weekend!

I emailed Tesco after these posters appeared saying you now had to purchase the prouct if you were using a voucher in my local store.

    They confirmed Tesco policy as:

If the voucher has Tesco on it, you must purchase the product.

If it is a manufacturers coupon, you can use it against anything as long as the store stock that product.

If it is an internet coupon they will accept it but at the manager's discretion (i.e. they will refuse if they think there is anything dodgy)

I pointed out that this meant the manager of the Bursledon store was directly opposing Tesco national policy. They said my comments had been noted and they would pass them onto Head Office and the manager of the store in question.

Popped in there to check if any change at the weekend but the posters were still there.

I can't see the point of Tesco having a 'policy' if they don't make individual stores adhere to it!

I tried to use the word document of vouchers a few weeks ago (they've worked before). This time, the lad on the till was quite helpful, but the till was not, he tried scanning the vouchers but they would not go, and when he keyed in the bar code number, even the till rejected most of them. I queried it, and the store manager had basically put a stop to internet vouchers and pretty much any if you hadn't bought the item.

    So I emailed Tesco asking for their upto date policy and got this back today;

    Thank you for contacting us.

I can confirm that it is not possible to use evouchers, in-store and also
not possible to use paper vouchers, online.

With regards to coupons, please note that any coupons, which display the
Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only accept these if the products
referred to on the coupons are purchased. This is because we negotiate
savings with our suppliers on the condition that these actual products will
    be purchased.

With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept
one, even if you have not purchased the product. However, the coupon must be
in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical
coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.

This also applies to coupons printed from the Internet. However, these will
only be accepted at the discretion of the Store Manager.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain our policy.

    Regards

So it seems as though Internet vouchers may be out.

My local Tesco won't accept internet vouchers anymore, even ones from "Wishvalue" so I've stopped using them.

I'm going to Tesco's tonight and spend about 200 on a big shop and I have never tried this one before. Anyone got some good online vouchers I could try out on threat of leaving the useless manager with a uber-trolly full to pop back on the shelf?
