Got a ticket on windscreen

One of our cars was ticketed recently in a private car park. It mentions a discount if paid within 14 days. Whats the situation with ignoring it until a NTK is recieved when a soft appeal can be sent. Does the 'discount' still apply?

The ticket 'might' have blown away as it stated only an authorised person' could remove it. As the driver wasn't sure who an 'authorised' person was, they didn't... :)

Depends who the parking company were - most usually re-offer the discount - but why are you worrying about paying - follow the advice in the links I've given below and you have a greater than 99% chance of paying zilch.

When you say one of our cars - is it just a multiple car household or is a fleet/lease car?

Did this happen in England or Wales and you live in either of those countries too?

and take a look at the flow chart post #9 http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=4922055

for further info on what to do when the NtK arrives

p.s. which company was it by the way?

I advise appealing now as in the sticky thread by coupon mad. The reason is that Napier are scum, and they go directly to debt collectors letters pretending that they sent a notice to keeper. Get a free proof of postage from the post office. And add at the bottom of the letter that you have proof of postage so it's deemed served after 2 working days.

    Hi Andy,
That particular PPC may own or be properly contracted at that location so the generic template may not be suitable and you may need help drafting a more specific one.
Also they definitely trawl this forum so take special care when posting.

Yes, I have already done some research. They sound a bit 'sharp', lol.

I have a topic on Pepipoo.com.queries.private parking tickets and clamping entitled Willen lake and Napier.

I'm not allowed to post the link as I am a new user.

    Collies, I have pm'd you. :)

Andy has also posted on PePiPoo and is getting advice there too.

Napier are not as straightforward as your run-of-the-mill PPC because they own/lease some car parks and are linked with the de Savary family landowning empire.

So advice does need to be set in this context.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

    '@Andy - Ok thanks - I've seen your topic.
My info is - the car park is still owned by Whitecap but N P are properly contracted to manage it - Parks Trust own the rest of the facility.
Anyway - seems like you have received the advice you need to do your 1st appeal
