hi my bank says they found a loan I paid ppi on in 1998 but say they don't know if I repaid it so can I proof that I repaid it because their records don't go back that far only to 2002 which is funny how do they know I had the loan then iam still with them and had loans since then they wouldn't have given me if I hadn't paid it back anybody got any advice on what to do next

It is easy for banks to tell what accounts you have had over the years. That sort of information doesnt get culled.
