Hp dv6-2020 blink twice action

Hi a bit of advice for a friend,they have a hp dv6-2020 model,it does not show any screen just blank.
It had two blinking lights caps/num lock,along with the wifi and sound (to max).
I have tried battery out all the hp resets but nothing,any ideas,oh and still doesn't show up on a external monitor either,fan going mad and gets very hot/warm quick.

HP DV series laptops are notorious for suffering motherboard failures due to poor ventilation and therefore excessive heat buildup. Your friend's may have suffered same fate.
If confirmed, may not be worth the price of a replacement motherboard unless you know someone who can strip it down and replace it for you. Might be better to consider a replacement laptop.0
