Older child at home claiming DLA

Hi there,
I'm a single dad with two boys, ages 17 and 25. The older is autistic and receives DLA. Both are in full-time education. I earn over 50K but still could do with some financial help (long story, etc..). Are there any benefits I can claim for my elder child, as i'm having to support both him and his brother? I had to stop claiming Child Allowance because of my income, so don't get anything from the state.
All advice gratefully received
thanks in advance
John

I do not think that there are any benefits that you can claim personally as your income is too high.
However, your older son, although in full time education, may be able to claim benefits in his own right as he is receiving DLA.

You can't claim benefits for your adult child once he reaches 20. If his disability affects his ability to work, he can claim ESA in his own right. Full time students aren't generally entitled to benefits; but those claiming DLA are.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Child maintenance should be payable for the 17 year old if he's in full time education. Does Mum pay anything to support your children?0
