how much data dose google music use

For some reason my motog has started playing google music over bluetooth , Its running kitkat and is the basic service from google not the £10 per moth thing .

Its 's not an issue as such sounds ok but do not want all my data used up the phone is on 3 . 321 pay as you go

Check the data usage easily yourself. Plenty of suitable Apps e.g. here

You can surely just choose to play the music 'on device', which won't use up any of your data allowance.
Obviously you'd have to transfer some music to the MotoG first.

But, presuming you have the bandwidth, the max bitrate that Google Play Music uses is 320 Kbits per second, so an hours streaming at that would use about 140 MB.
(if I've got the maths right)

You can choose to stream at a lower bitrate, to preserve more of your data allowance.

How much do you roughly spend on top-ups a month?

If it's regularly over £10 then try and go for a month-to-month contract. For £12.90 you get unlimited data 5,000 texts and 200mins talk.

I'm on it and i hardly use the talk time as I've been using BTSmart Talk to make calls at they are charged to my home phone bill so I tend to get cheaper calls that way.
