Hello guys,

Sorry if this is wrong place to post, please feel free to move.

I am looking for a breakdown cover for my Worcester Bosch boiler and Range Tribune HE (hot water cylinder) just wanted to see what would be the best one.

I've had a google and I cant seem to find anyone doing hot water cylinder breakdown cover (or maybe i'm not looking hard enough?)

We've purchased this house and this was already installed. I don't know much about it to be honest, apart from it keeps the water hot.
Is the hot water cylinder worth getting covered?

Thanks in advance,

Sam.

Definitely worth covering the hot water cylinder, will only aid you with the speed of heat loss from it.

Try googling "cylinder jackets" - https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cylinder+jacket&espvd=210&es_sm=122&tbm=shop&source=lnms&sa=X&ei=MgYyU6SyBMWnhAfL9oGQDg&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=643&dpr=1

OK my bad. I just realised that you mean like breakdown cover :(

What area do you live in? I don't know too much about cover plans

I'm not a fan of breakdown cover - It's probably more cost effective to put your premiums away into an ISA so it's there in your bank account for when you need it rather than spending out on insurance. It won't be many years before you'll have enough saved to buy a new boiler if necessary.
It's not often that you get a problem with your hot water tank - possibly an immersion heater fault or maybe a valve, but they shouldn't cost more than £50-75 to change.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
