  • Morning all.
not posted for a while as been mega busy at work. Got the black dog here at the mo so everything is hard work. Ex still hasn't told me whether or not his mortgage offer was accepted or not, so still got that hanging over me. Got a big H&S audit at work on mon so been up to my neck in paperwork for that. Would of been easy if my boss had emailed the auditor and asked what he wanted to see so we could have it all ready for him but as she hasnt its everything, and then some.
have been really good with the budget this month so allowing myself a treat of shop brought curry's tonight as i have another meeting to attend at 7pm.
Can tell I have been overdoing it as I keep getting dizzy spells and must of looked rough on sun as DH wouldn't let me do a thing all day except rest.(which was a pain as i have so much to do)
So back to the paperwork for another day.
    Hugs to all xx
    Bright Blessings xx

    Morning all,

Just sitting here with a coffee and five mins rest. I've cleaned the house. Scrubbed DS2's room, couldn't believe how many chocolate wrappers I found. I don't know why he can't put them in the bin.

Got some letters to write and post then off to work again. Had my first wage slip with the overtime on yesterday and I am going to save it as I can't get used to it!

Have a good day all :)

    Morning to All!!
Well it's cold, drizzly and foggy here, although the fog is now beginning to lift! Got my ironing out ready to do when I get home and need to finish putting the pots away. We are having a mid week roast - gammon for a change - so will get that in when I get back home too.
Working until 5pm, but it is very quiet again!! Seem's to make it such a long day when quiet.
Cut OH's hair last night, we couldn't believe how much we got off, as only cut it 2 months ago!! Must try and keep on top of it more - wish my hair grew that fast.

Well wishes for all those struggling with sleeping at the moment, it is awful!
LWW - Hope it all quiten's down at work as soon as the H&S audit is completed. Make sure to try and get a little time to yourself, as not worth making yourself ill!

Have a lovely day everyone :j

Mr LW got a letter from his Aunt's solicitors, in Canada, yesterday. Background: Auntie E died several years ago; Mr LW inherited one third of the part of her estate that would've gone to his Mum had she still been alive; his two sisters also got a third each.

It all took a long time to process because his other Aunt (Mum's other sister) had since died, and her solicitors seemed to have gone AWOL (I finally tracked them down, through an internet search!!) but, long story short, he had a letter in July 2010 saying that was the "final distribution" and we thought that was the end of the matter.

However, it seems another small account has come to light, so there's a tad more. Not much, it'll only be a couple of hundred £. But.... his DSis1 passed away in December 2010, we have no record of who her solicitors were, and her life partner has vanished off the face of the earth. I have no idea if they'll need sight of a death certificate, or anything like that; or if his DSis2 has any paperwork (DSis2 helped organise the funeral).

I've suggested he enclose a letter with the forms he has to sign and return, detailing the situation, and see what happens. I can't see what else he can really do.:o He's managed to get one of his colleagues to witness the forms (this was a requirement) today, so we'll compose a letter tonight for him to put in with them.:o

*Sigh* the one thing that's certain about this life.... no-one gets out of it alive.

    Afternoon all,
Just caught up yesterday and todays thread. Its a bit grotty here today, got drenched walking the dog this morning, & not long before I go again.I've mopped the kitchen floor twice already due to very large muddy pawprints-the back garden was just about drying up but its back to being soggy again.

Had hm chicken soup for lunch, and made a big cottage pie for tea,as I think DS will be here with the DGC and I wanted it all ready. We (DH & I ) are off to a footie match later too,but might get chance to bath the baby if I'm organized :) Had a good kitchen clean up earlier and sorted a load of mags for recycling.

    Well wishes for everyone x

Not been on much lately as not doing much so nothing to say. Hugs to all feeling low for any reason.

Been a little warmer today, although still feeling a bit sorry for myself, back to doc this morning to find him doing a war dance as he has not had a result for my xray.....nasty missive sent immediately, so it will either arrive tomorrow or they will decide to let him sweat to pay him back for being nasty!

Almost finished blanket I have been crocheting for DDs friend....went to get some ribbon earlier and managed to get some for nothing, so maybe its my lucky dayin some way.

We had lunch out on our way home, wasnt feeling so had soup and sandwich....soup was curried roast parsnip, apple and potato and was delicious, must try to replicate it in some way....

Hugs to all who could use one or more, take care my friends as good friends are valuable.

  • Has been persisting down all day and it has turned really chilly, glad I got the washing done yesterday.
I am seriously thinking of lighting the fire in a minute.

Went to town to get the car taxed (Byebye £225 ) then a mooch around Asda, Farmfoods and Wilkinsons spent more than I wanted, but Wilko had a diy sale on and DH saw quite a few bits that went into the trolley animated-smileys-rolleyes-10.gif

He is going swimming after work so I will just reheat his dinner when he gets home.

Lasagne tonight ......leftover from a big one I made two weeks ago, so easy peasy dinner, with no faff :p

Marie DH loves parsnip and apple soup and I must make him one before the parsnips and bramleys are out of season. I will pick some up from the market tomorrow.

I had a fried egg sandwich for lunch, forgot how good they can be with crusty bread nom nom nom :D

Dentist tomorrow morning, I only have to have a clean and DH is having putty in the mouth for his denture.

    Evening all
Looong day at work, 6:30 'til 4ish, still I'm home now & have my feet up.
I got a phone call today from an ex lodger, asking me to be guarantor for a loan she wants to take out, I had to refuse, I don't think she realised the implications.
DD1 has an induction booked for 1st June, I don't think she'll go that far.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
