Ideal boiler

I'm looking for anybody who has had problems with their Ideal boiler.
Mainly the ideal excel he32, and if anybody has any information on the design of it

I would say the biggest problem is it must have been discontinued about 7 years ago. If you are looking for a solution to a particular problem I suggest the 'ask the expert' type of website. These are not things you should take an amateur opinion on. If you really only want to know about the design I suggest you search online for the installation and user manuals. It should take you less time than reading this to find them

Thanks for they reply, but I was after anyone who has had a problem with this boiler type and not the mechanics. Looking to build a case against ideal

How are you going to do that on a 7 year old (or older) boiler?
Out of manufacturer's warranty, so only a SOGA claim against the installer is left, assuming they supplied it, and are still trading.

hi i have had the boiler mantained by excel, i have had a lot of problems with the boiler over the 6 years. i know that the boiler was a copy of another boiler and very quickly removed from the market due to faults. the boiler has never been fit for purpose. ideal have already offered me a very discounted new boiler, but im not happy with that. as i still have to pay to have it fitted.:mad:
