am moving to a new place next week... have always got by on a dongle but in this instance i fancy treating myself to broadband! it is a rented property and i have noticed a phonepoint when i was looking round it. the landlady said that she spoke to the previous tennants on a landline so there are definately wires going in! i imagine that due to the rural location that there will be no cable so am asuming this will be a BT line coming in.... According to the website, unlimited broadband and phone calls (Incuding line rental) will be about 40 a month.... does this seem about right?
seems a little stiff to me, but have never looked into this type of thing before?!
thank you, team!

Just because it's a BT line, it doesn't mean you are restricted to BT alone for broadband and phone calls.
Check what services are available to the property at http://www.samknows.com/broadband/broadband_checker and then decide who's got the best deal.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

First thing to do is plug in a handset and check if the line is disconnected or not. As above, you can use any provider you like to reconnect or resubscribe. There are dozens of alternatives to BT, most of them cheaper and better. No free lunch, and no free laptop
