Hi, I got a letter from DWP today basically stating they'll be visiting me at home on Thursday sometime to make sure I'm getting the right amount of ESA and I need to show them 2 forms of ID... Why are they doing this?? I'm suffering from depression and anxiety sending me these kind of letters with no reason on is just making me worse. I can't deal with this kind of thing. What do they even want???

It's just as the letter states...they want to go through your benefits and makesure you are on the correct benefits and amounts, it's not such a bad thing. There seems to be lots of these visits being made at the moment and you are not being singled out for any devious reasons. Just have your ID ready to show them answer the questions and they will leave, makesure you ask for their ID before you let them in.0
