    Hi,

all eletric heaters are pretty much equal, wether a £10 heater or £100 heater, all that changes is the way that they deliver the heat, regardless of that, they all cost the same to run.
Really the only difference is when you have storage heaters and are on economy 7 (which i dont think you are?)
If you have a bit of money to invest, an alternative is an air-air heat exchanger, DIY would cost £500 + install costs, or pro install around £1000-1200.
The main advantage of these is that they can be 3x more efficient than a conventional electric heater.

As pointed out they all cost to the same to reach the same heat levels, they just deliver results differently.

Some prefer oil filled radiators as they continue to emit after cut off until all heat is dissipated but they have longer warm up time. Some prefer fan heaters for their very quick heat up.

If you are looking at this purely from a cost point of view, just get the cheapest fan heater you can find. You will find plenty around £5-£10. Beats the more expensive infrared and oil filled radiators and you can use them in bursts to keep topping up the heat.

Whatever device you use, electric heating is your main problem, it is very expensive unless you are just topping up 1 room throughout the day saving your CH from firing up.
