We have been waiting 3 weeks to view our shared ownership house and went to view them today, we had to pick 3 choices and just had a call to say we have got our first choice!!
The moving date has been brought forward to around the 12st of Aug so i'm now stressing as we have to carpet it ourselves and it's proving quite difficult already as the builders might not let fitters in etc..anyway another thread!!
I'm soooo excited!

I'm assuming it's some kind of new build flat. Sounds like you've been a little hasty to me. They've obviously bought the moving date forward, as they want your cash!!
I bet they made out that they were going like hot cakes and you had to sign the dotted line before it was too late? Believe me, they weren't - hence getting your first choice. Tell them to pay for the carpets!
I don't know whether to laugh or cry for you, but seriously, good luck and I hope you're happy in your new hope

Hmm no you are wrong on all accounts!
Ok it's a 2 bed house and not a flat.
The reason the moving date was brought forward was because the woman from the H/O said the start of September as she wasn't sure, this is the news she has been told today from the builders and as far as i'm concerned the sooner the better!
They are going like hot cakes! it's a mixture of shared ownership, bought and rented, beautiful new complex with woodland and parks etc and Is very sought after, I work at the local golf club and let me tell you some of the members are pretty jealous as they were looking at them, weren't fast enough though obviously! We have been on the housing list for years and so we have thought long and hard about this, these are perfect for us so yes we have snapped one up.
I don't know why you would cry, although I nearly did today when i saw it, through happiness though as it's so nice! Can't wait to move in!
Thanks for the positive reply though..Oh you aren't one of the Golf members are you....0 -
