my dog needs special food and zylkene

Hi

My dog max he is akita And he suffering from anxiety and being left alone vet suggested changing his food to natural one so we found pets at home version of James wellbeloved and can get a 15 kg bag online subscript for £32 a month as opposed to in store at £40 a bag - but he needs zylkene tablets and even online it's expensive or I don't feel that I am saving much - i have seen them on ebay at like 100 tablets for £75 but I am very scared of buying like that

Our puppy has James well beloved food. The vet Recommended it.
Just bought x2 sacks. I used a voucher code and got 15 pound off and went through Quidco.

you can get cheaper natural foods than James Wellbeloved, try something like CSJ or Skinners both natural but around a 1/3rd of the cost, you could also try some natural remedies before going down the Zyklene route CSJ also do those, calm down being the one that springs immediately to mind, but if you contact Ceri she's really good and will send you some samples out

    1) Change your vet....he saw you coming and rubbed his hands with glee

    2) Spend more time at home so your dog isnt anxious and lonely

    OR

    3) Give him to someone who does give a damn about his welfare and can afford to feed, keep and occupy such a large breed animal.

Uncalled for I DO care I am simply asking for advice on cheaper alternative - i have a budget too we can't all have unlimited funds for our animals but it does not mean we don't care if we just want something that bit cheaper that comes in on budget

there was a program on a bit ago i think it was "the secret lives of dogs" although that may be wrong,

anyway, it said that 80% of dogs could have separation anxiety when their owners are away for extended periods - they think you aren't coming back!.

you have to train them that things are fine, basically by tiny steps of leaving and coming back, with out making a fuss off them when leaving, although it's obviously more complicated, you can search methods via google.

    - as anxiety is a psychological problem, i dunno how effective a change of diet might be if there is NO chemical imbalances in the brain etc to alleviate, i think training might be something to consider in staid ?

    - i am also assuming the vet must have checked your dogs urine and or blood to ascertain the problems, because if not, he is a conman or guessing, either of which is not very professional.

    ...i am scared akitas.

    all the best

Then spend more time at home with your animal who is craving the attention and security of his pack. If you dont understand that basic bit of dog psychology, I suggest you buy a guinea pig or hamster instead, they dont mind being alone for hours a day. You dont need special food, your dog needs the attention and care of his owner.

Look everyone else is being kind and helpful and you clearly are not and want a fight and simply don't like dogs - fair enough but I am asking nicely if you don't have logically thought out sound comments that can be made possible in 21st working Britain then please don't comment
