    Hi everyone,

I'm feeling a bit better today, had a bit of a meltdown on Friday with things getting on top of me. The final straw was discovering that I appear to be developing vitiligo. In the scheme of things it isn't a huge problem but it just seems that my body is constantly attacking itself, stupid auto-immune problems. I know a lot of you have far worse problems than mine so sorry for the moan.

I have also decided I need to talk to someone about mum's death because it keeps running through my mind (and has brought back dad's) so I think I need to talk it through. There's a Cruse drop-in in the next town so might go there.

The piano tuner is here so I can just hear plinking in the background. It's probably over 100 years old but apparently was a good quality one. If we want it properly refurbished it will cost a fortune but he says as it is it will make a perfectly good family piano. We might just have the outside refurbished in that case.

I need to get on with the jobs I have lined up - I want to clear out a couple of cupboards, I'm in a spring cleaning mood.

    Have a good day.

    Morning all,

Couldn't believe how frosty it was first thing! Turned out lovely now. There's me thinking there won't be much washing with DS2 away but then realised stripping his bed to wash the whole lot including duvet etc amounts to a lot of washing! Just hope it stays nice all week.

Been to work and back, had a walk with my friend by the River. It was beautiful down there today. Had coffee and a chat.

Been pootling about emptying bins and general tidying so I can hoover and dust later (or tomorrow if I CBA).

Judi - Glad you managed to get an appointment.

JackieO - Sounds like a lovely treat.

Chicken for tea and off to Yoga later.

    Have a good day.

I felt the same after my mum's death, dads had been 14 years earlier and I realised that I hadn't really grieved for him until after mum died as up until then I'd still had 1 parent.

It will get easier I promise - it's 9 years since my mum died this summer and last week it was 23 years since my dad passed.

We had a lovely weekend with little Spencer; he went home yesterday afternoon, and the house seems really quiet and empty today.

As it was his first holiday ever, the franchisee asked me to do something of an evaluation, and I'm pleased to say I was able to say lots of good things about Spencer.

Best bit was his walk yesterday morning - we met the little Yorkie who lives in the next close, and they made friends really nicely.

I've had my fingers well and truly chewed (never thought I'd be glad to be wearing metal hand splints :D ) but that's just a puppy thing - he'll grow out of that.:o

I'm cream crackered though, so not doing much today - I shall throw the hoover round, and I have to do nut loaf with sweet'n'sour rice for dins, but that's easy - the nut loaf is in the freezer, it's just a question of hotting it up, cooking the rice and bunging the sauce ingredients into a pan.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Lovely here today but a hard frost this morning.
Washing is all done and on the line, I am trying to keep on top of things so that everything is sorted before the op.

Front room has been gutted and sorted and it will just need a flick and spit to keep on top of it.The kitchen is ok, just got to get DH to tackle the bathroom, he always does it because the stairs are a problem for me :A They all do their own rooms.

Sistercas I have the same problem in April, there are seven birthdays, Me, Dsis, MIL, SIL, DD's BF and a nephew (it used to be eight when DH's nan was still with us) plus there are three in the first week of May including DS :eek:

    Hi everyone
Sorry to be MIA, but was away in the caravan since Wednesday with a. Very poor and mainly none existence signal.
Had a lovely time, meeting up with many old friends.
Our bad birthday month for cards is February, don't do presents to them, DS was 29 yesterday, and his wedding is now only a week on Saturday :T:rotfl:;) time to re-try on the outfit me thinks.
Only thing I really need are some fine tights, rarely worn normally. Usually go for barely black, but think tan might be more suitable. Saw some in M&S £4 a pair :eek:
Off to Leeds tomorrow to meet up with Jayward, while I can still do it with my bus pass on the train IYKWIM. Rule changes 1st April and no freetrains on the bus pass. Don't think think any of your are out that way, but if you are PM me.
Must go and unload the dirty washing from the 'van, got the food out yesterday, and DH & I have been for an eye test this morning, and just got back. Skye has just jumped onto my knee as I am using my pad and obviously ignoring her!!
Hope you have all been OK. Will try reading back later. ((Hugs)), Spoons, etc., take care everyone. DG

    Afternoon all,

June is our worst month for birthdays, three of my kids plus DIL hubby , Father's Day, wedding anniversary and grandson, plus my BEst Friends:eek:

Feeling a bit grotty as Auntie Flo is visiting but managed to get my eyebrows threaded this morning and post a little parcel off to Australia. Have made a lasagne, low fat, for tea as Dd is always shattered on a Monday and it's an easy tea for us all, will serve with some veg and garlic bread.
Really pleased with my diet am eating very healthy and lots of fruit and veg. Fingers crossed for my first weigh in.
TTFTM I know exactly how he feels, thank goodness I'm not In education any more, hope it goes as well as it can.
Better go and get my DD from the station, have a good evening all x
