would you eat nuts with a bbe of Dec 2013?

I've a packet of m and s cashew nuts with a best before end of Dec 2013 . its never been opened, and I want to make some pesto with them , would you eat them , they look OK ?

Yep I'd eat them. My custard powder says best before Feb 2010 and I still use it (obviously not very often, hence why it's 4 years out of date)0

Best Before dates just tell you that the quality might not be 100% after that date. It doesn't mean the food is off.0 -

I would taste them first. Nuts tend to go rancid, but if they taste okay, eat them!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
