Winning bidder asking for discount

Fairly new to eBay sales, 0 feedback buyer has won my item & then messaged me asking to sell it to her for less than she bid because she's got no money. Do I have to reply to that at all? If so, what's a polite way of saying no? My listing stated three days for payment, so presumably I wait that long then report her as a non-payer? If I'm honest I don't really want to sell her the item at all (though obviously will if she pays up).
Sorry if these are daft asks, I've literally only ever sold 4 items & never had issues before.
TIA

Just respond politely that the final bid price is the lowest you can accept and the price they agreed to when they bid. I'd open a case after 2 days..0

I agree, a polite but firm no and an early NPB if necessary.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'd also add them to your blocked bidder list. Anyone who tries to change the terms of the auction after it's completed always goes in my BBL.0

Yes definitely put them in your blocked bidder list & whilst you're at it, choose which bidders you don't want to be allowed to bid on any of your auctions. Go to Account tab, then choose Preferences, then Buyer Requirements.
This should stop you getting any other time wasters bothering you with luck. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
dont budge, and make sure you let the money clear before you post out the item0

Thanks all, unbelievably she's asked again, this time with the figure she wants to pay  I'm just waiting for the 48 hours to clear so I can NPB her as she's clearly not going to pay for the item.
I have set up buyer requirements but can only see an option to block buyers with negative feedback, is there any way to block those with no activity or feedback?Quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur0 -

You can't block buyers with negative feedback.....you need to block this particular buyer on your blocked bidders list, to prevent them bidding again.
Your NPB can be opened on day 2, but it requires another 4 days before you can close it. So don't think on day 2 it's done and dusted.0 -

Done, thankyou.Your NPB can be opened on day 2, but it requires another 4 days before you can close it. So don't think on day 2 it's done and dusted.
I now have 7 separate messages from this person begging for discounts, asking about sizing(?), telling me about her dire financial position and asking to pay on a non-specific date in the future. When I told her she'd have to pay in order to secure the item & that I wasn't willing to indefinitely she replied "WHAT?". I'm opening the NPB case now & hoping she goes away.Quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur0 -
Say no and open a non-paying bidder thing.0

Don't get into any more discussions with her now you've opened the case. Lets hope she doesn't pay in the 4 days so you can close it.
Best of luck! Ignore any further messages.0
