Well through doing some research just recently, i have discovered that if you become a friend to the canal and river trust and give a 'donation' of £5 a month (which is basically a membership) you get a whole load of discounts, however, they seem to give you the discount codes on the site for you to quote so if one is daring enough to see if anyone would actually ask to see the proof which i highly doubt it, you could just get a cheaper price on getaways/holidays without having to pay the 'donation'.
The main two discounts is:
"15% discount off 'drifter narrow boat holiday travel' (code - CRT FRIENDS)
"10% discount off family holiday parks i.e caravans, lodges, city break apartments, cottages and boating holidays (non narrow boat types) (code - CNR or CRT)0
