Asus TF101 - worth repairing.

My son used this throught his uni course until one day he took it from his bag and found it was dead (had been in use an hour before with plenty battery life). This was last year. Connecting it to a charger doesn't appear to do anything. Given the tech is a few years old, is it worth trying to repair or shall I bin it?

It has the keyboard with auxilliary battery, this makes no difference.

  • I have one of these - have you tried hard resetting it? You hold the power and volume down buttons for about ten seconds.

Otherwise, if it's totally bricked, the answer is no. They're not economical repairs; I bought one second-hand because it was cheap. It would be more rational to put the money towards a newer tablet, e.g. a Kindle Fire HD+ or something similar.

I would doubt it could be reset if its not bootable. I'll have a look around later - can see it getting launched tbh.
