Insurance for Son playing football tournament in Milan

Any recommendations for an insurance company offering sports cover - in particular for a football tournament at Easter in Milan?

Have searched the web but not sure I've really come up with anything apart from

sportscoverdirect

Thanks

This has been asked about before. I think the Football Association have some form of cover through an Insurers/brokers.

They might not do what you are looking for, but should point you in the right direction.

There is a specialist brokers Harrison Beaumont, who arrange activity/sports Travel Insurances.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

primarily personal injury during the tournament. Everything else is covered under his normal travel insurance but they won't extend the cover.

Is he travelling as part of a team? If so, maybe it's worth contacting the team coach/manager - they might well have sorted out group insurance.

In any event, it is within the EU - apply for an E111 insurance card (it's free) at - http://www.postoffice.co.uk/health-insurance-card

And note - it's FREE - please use this Post Office link and not one of the search engine results that may point you to a site which charges for "applying on your behalf" for a fee. No-one should charge you for this form/card.

Hope your son enjoys his fantastic footie experience! x

Edit - not sure if they provide sports cover specifically, but if he's travelling under some schools or youth sports programme they ought to have these things covered. If not, I'd be concerned about more things in addition to the insurance... :(
