Advice on secondhand greenhouse and shed please

Thank you all. I can smell those musky tomatoes even now...
A shed should be a much more straightforward move presumably, although heavier and bigger I imagine.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Great advice here.

I'd just add, especially on aluminium, if you can spare the time, work out a numbering system and label all the joints, so that it goes back together exactly as it came apart.
You could write B1, B2 and so on for all the bits that connect to the base, E1, E2 for all those that connect at the eaves, A1, A2, for the Apex.
A plant labelling marker, like a Sharpie, does the job.

That reminds me of how I used to organise my loft - each rafter would be labelled either A or B depending on which side, then 1, 2, 3 etc. I would then keep a spreadsheet of what was where. It made for much quicker searches for obscure items.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

We did this with a shed. So far have spent £75 on replacing a rotten floor and some panels. Ironically it was in January and walking out of b&q with the sawn timber we saw a similar shed on sale for £75! We have since bought paint. Luckily had some new felt in the garage. Sooo for us we ended up spending a fair bit to fix it and it will probably only last a few years. We've had fun but it's not been worth it financially0

I picked up a greeen house locally. I took out glass from roof, however left glass intact in sides and dimantled into four peices.
I called around a number of glazing companies and was able to (for around £50 IIRC) make use of a van and driver with side holding frame - the one normally used to move patio doors / conservatories.
We were therefore able to take the intact greenhouse home without needing to fully dismantle.0 -
Thank you Surrey Jim. I know the vehicles you mean - white man van with inbuilt speed limiter? It's another idea certainly. I just have to find the right greenhouse to warrant the effort first.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
