My corsair H100 manufacturer recon has given up not going to bother with sending it back because A corsair quality has dipped in the last few years, B it cost me £40.00 as get buy for later on when I upgraded.

For those who don't know my system specs from previous threads:
Thermaltake armor case.
intel haswell i5 3.2ghz (3.6ghz boost) processor not oc'd on standard intel cooler.
Asus maximus 6 hero socket 1150 mobo.
Kingston hyper beast 2400mhz ddr3 memory 8GB.
Asus GTX560 256bit card (pre directcuII model).
corsair 750watt modular psu.

I intend on upgrading the graphics later on in the year and adding more memory another 8GB of the same DDR3 brand as above.

I don't want another type of watercooler like the h100 it was hard to place the rad as limited space inside the case and you cant take the pipes off form the pump, I want to mount the rad external and have a looped system instead so I can place the rad on the side or top the case.

Ive been looking at these for e.g:

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/Alphacool-NexXxos-Cool-Answer-360-DDC-XT-Kit-pid-17431.html

and just to add a bit of fun ill be buying a mayhems aurora red premix water to accent the red illumination behind my mobo.

these vary in Liters per hour. Im not asking for a choice between these three they are just examples and the lowest prices ive found out so far, and to give you an idea of what I want. max budget £200 inc delivery but would like to come in under that to add to my GFX card and maybe get both at the same time but im happy at the moment with holding off on my GFX card for the right watercooler.

personal reviews welcomed if you have a watercooler.

Yes I will be overclocking.

I wonder if anyone in a home environment has installed the computer inside a fridge with wiring for peripherals coming out of the side. I don't envy your costs though I do your setup, lol

I'd love to now if some fool tried that placing a setup ina small fridge, without thinking cold MOIST air meeting warm air = condensation meaning water on the mobo and BANG!!.

    Why bother with watercooling!!

Go the whole hog and stick your PC in a fishtank and fill it with mineral Oil and a couple of good quality pumps to move the oil around! ^_~

You can use other types of oil but you may end up smelling like the local fish and chip shop after a while... ^_~

To be honest, best try a dedicated tech forum for advice. Not many people here do in for water cooling.

Out of curiousity, why water cooling? It seems extravagant for the system you have.
  • decided to get a new graphics card instead as im getting the ominous signs of GFX card failure. driver crashes, screen flicker, high temps and strips of pixels down the screen now and then.

    went for this. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-179-GW&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1750

I gave up on watercooling years ago.

My AXIA 'Y' 1Ghz CPU running at 1400Ghz. I could push it beyond that for short periods but that was the reliable 24/7 usage limit.

I got fed up of the noise of Delta fans spinning at stupid speeds. Imaging sitting at the PC with a hairdryer sellotaped to your head. It got rather annoying.

Then i watercooled it. Great. Except you had to be careful if you needed to move it and having to open the case was a chore.

The novelty or upgrading and tweaking then wore off. Most application didnt need the extra power the stock CPU's provided from the box.

Now i look for quiet and hassle free systems. My video card has a passive heatsink. Only the CPU and PSU have fans.

I rarely move my PC, so I wouldnt need to worry about being careful. as long as you are careful then I suppose moving it shouldn't be a hassle in that respect. ive decided to put the watercooler on hold for now as my GFX card is on its last legs and needed a new one. my BIL bought it when the GTX560 came out in 2011 and I bought it summer last year, it was part of an SLI build and a get me by because my GTX 550TI golden sample decided to have HDMI connectivity issues.

I can hear my PC fans over my hoover but ill have to put up with it until later in the year now.
