What about some homemade fairy cakes and card? I'm sure the teachers will love these and you can have fun with the kids making them! (Cheaper too!)

Would like to echo the sentiments of other teachers on here! A simple card made by the child is lovely and always welcome. As a Mum I know how difficult and expensive it can be to buy pressies for teachers, classroom assistants etc. As a teacher I can honestly say that I do not expect gifts for doing my job and regularly donate those I receive to charity as there are only so many mugs, ornaments, smellies etc. you can possibly use!

A couple of parents last year sent in batches of home made cookies and cakes which were gratefully received by all in the staff room but a smiling child and their good wishes as they move on are the best present!

I would appreciate a nice single malt, but I am hoping for a Nintendo DS.
