Parking Ticket New Generation

I parked at the Capital Retail Park Cardiff on a match day when parking is apparently restricted to 1.5 hrs from the normal 3. I did not park near a sign as there were so few and had no reason to check it as I wasn't going to the football. I received a parking fine from this company which I ignored. I have now received a letter from a firm called Roxburge requesting £160.00. Do I still ignore this.

Are you the registered keeper and was driving on the day? The reason I ask is that this could be rolled back if you weren't driving. As roxburghe they can be totally ignored. You'll receive gladstones letters next, they are actually still roxburghe pretending to be them, if they send a letter before claim then come back here for advice.

That apart, if you weren't at the match, you perhaps have some shopping receipts/bank proof from said retail park...

You've summed it up, they do this for a living and are utter scumbags. They are not entitled to your money, so just ignore them. Roxburghe may soon be out of the picture as they have lost their licence pending an appeal

Complain to the Retail Park to get it cancelled if you were a shopper.

  • As Stroma said I have a received a letter from Gladstones it does not say on it letter before claim . It says their client has instructed them to recover the total amount due. It says our client may instruct us to take legal action. They are inviting me to call Roxburghe and confirm my proposals in respect of this charge. They have included a copy of the figures it will cost for illustration. I assume I continue to ignore the letters.

Yeah but...if you'd searched this parking forum for 'Gladstones' as a keyword, you'd find LOADS of other postings about that letter:

including how to respond. Advice is to reply to any solicitor letter these days.
