    How can these people get away with selling invalid warranty it stinks they have ripped us off big style

    Sadly people do get away with it, but you may find you have insurance to make sure they dont... Some bank accounts, AA/RAC memberships, home contents insurance policies have legal assistance cover built in exactly for cases like this. Also check any workplace union memberships etc., one may have legal assistance.

    I'm with you though, you bought it from the chain and the fact that they are saying the guy is gone and nobody can prove who said what works against their favour TBH - you don't let go of an honest employee, so they likely know they're in the firing line and trying to scare you off.
