can i make raised bed from bricks

i could kick myself! aldi had some raised bed kits a cpl of weeks ago at 6.99 or something but at the time I just didnt have the money. i want to put a raised bed in an area just to grow some wild flowers. i noticed there are a mound of old bricks at bottom of my garden so could i just make a shape out of these? i am only thinking one brick high so hopefuly not enough for soil to push out the bricks?? what do you think

    You will need to at least break up the clay and maybe dig in some grit/sand and compost otherwise every time you water it will just run straight off.

    They are still in my Aldi but i would say a waste of money. you could knock up your own by raiding some wood from a skip and buying some preservative!
