Not sure about budget depends if you want to go for the bare minimum like weezl and a girl called jack or a little higher?
I cook mostly from scratch, but work full time so do like meals that aren't too time consuming for mid week, I did struggle to stick to cheap family plans because of time.

I think the budget aim would be as cheap as possible without compromising health, so it would have to include more than your 5-a-day, whole grains, etc.0 -
