Can I switch provider while my npower dispute is still going on?

I'm one of those customers distressed by the npower bill fiasco last year. As you may remember, the problems date back to a new computer system at npower. On transferring customers’ details, a number of bills and statements were not sent, while some direct debits simply weren’t set up properly.

I have made a complaint, which goes nowhere so far.

So can I still switch to another company or do I have to wait until my complaint is resolved?

Thank you

The losing company - NPower in your case - can block a switch to another company; and will do so if they believe you owe them money.

only if they have invoiced you, and it been over 28 days can they object
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

If its over money, it will be blocked so you'll need to move out if you want a new supplier - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=63247634&postcount=9
