Checked those as well! Will try a standard email and put a copy in the post for good measure. Are the email receipts usually instant?

Yes but technically you can't appeal to POPLA by email so I would just download a POPLA form from the BPA website - looks like this (below) but I am not sure if there's meant to be a back page:

    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B160FlN9Mss2ZFhqZnZqTzFIUUE/edit

Then complete the one you download, tick 3 out of 4 appeal boxes (it's obvious which one not to tick!). Write in the notes that you full appeal is xx pages attached, and that this has already been submitted online but you got no acknowledgement. Staple your full printed appeal to it, making sure the 10 digit code is written at the top of every printed page. Don't just paper clip it together, make it secure and clear to avoid pages becoming detached. And send it to POPLA 1st class, getting a free cert of posting at the PO counter - clearly don't waste your money sending anything recorded delivery to an office not necessarily open to sign for post on a Saturday!

    Thank you.
Found in the wife's spam folder, after checking myself!
Also had another copy confirmation sent via email after sending the appeal in by email.
Now just have to wait until late April or early May.

Thank you for all your help, just had the POPLA response.... MET was a no show. No supporting evidence supplied by them.

Received a notice of overstay today by 19 minutes at McDonalds Gatwick. Have completed an initial appeal via MET website with the view that McDonalds policy per their website is 90 minutes, I stayed 79 minutes (view the FAQ's) and that their Data Protection Register entry does not state that personal data will be used in respect of CCTV for parking charge notices so they are in breach. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the advice on here it's very handy.
