Survey states no lintels!

Good evening,
I am looking at buying a house that was built in the late 40's. And the survey has flagged up a few issues. Each of which I will possibly post here to get any advice or reassurance.
The first and most major issue is that the brick work above the windows is sagging due to what the surveyor believes is lack of lintels.
From what I understand and have read up on, the house of this era are cavity wall and the outer a wall (due to lack of steel after the war) had soldier headers above the windows that was supported by the window frames. The house I am looking at has had UPVC windows fitted and of course these are not strong enough causing issues.
Anybody any experience of this, know what the cost could be per windows etc?
I will try and post an image of the worst effected which is the patio door (I assume has been opened out a little)
