  • MAC lipstick fades beautifully and evenly, they can be a bit drying though so exfoliate and use a non greasy lip balm, Revlon is another brand good for lipstick :)

Revlon is a great brand of lipstick - it featured on Watchdog's Test House yesterday morning. It was the one that stayed on the best and retained colour. It beat Estee Lauder.

To help with your troubled skin have you tried Argan oil? It's classed as a "Dry" oil suitable for oily, even Acne and dry skin. Can be used on body too.

Argan oil is easy to obtain, however make sure there is only one ingredient - Argan Oil, and it doesn't need to cost the earth.

It can be used under make up too, and even as a hot cleanser.

Avoid strong cleansers/toners with alcohol, this will only make your skin work harder to balance.

Rosewater is a great toner/cleanser, plus you can add to a spritz bottle and use throughout the day - helps with hydration especially with air con drying you out. Plus drink plenty of water during the day.

Rosewater can be purchased from Continental supermarkets for about 99 pence.

Unsure when the big day is, but getting a few professional facials and obtaining their advice, not necessarily their products will definitely be beneficial.

    Wishing you all the best

All my posts are my opinion, and the actions I would take.
  • I used to really struggle with oily T zone and dry cheeks but my skin has even out so much since using the oil cleansing method. Spots are less frequent too. I could use any combination of products and nothing evened it out quite like this has. You literally rub oil into your face and steam it off, then tone/moisturise as normal or using a touch of the same oil.

Probably not the kind of thing you're after, but I've never been able to even out my skin issues with a single product prior to this.
  • I got a ysl and estee lauder sample last week, sadly as YSL test on animals i won't be purchasing anything from them (i wasn't aware until after i got the sample) but so far the EL is really working for me, their palest double wear light isn't drying on my face and it's not wearing off so easily, i went to chanel but the lady there informed me they don't sell a foundation light enough for my skin.

I've been using a No7 cream wash that you wipe of with a wet flannel after being a wet wipes user for many months and my skin has got so much better, my pores are slowly disappearing, the skin isn't so dry and it isn't looking so grey, i've been into lush and they recommended an illuminator to mix in with my day cream rather than wearing foundation all the time.

I'm quite a shy person and wouldn't of dared go and asked for samples if you guys hadn't given me so many recommendations so thank you all, i picked and paid for my dress yesterday and no longer feel stressed :) i'll pick the make up bits up as i go x
