Cats after cattery stay

Are anyone else's cats a bit crazy when you get them back from the cattery?
They have barely left me alone all day:rotfl: they want to be beside me, they're shouting at me.
This is their first cattery stay and I think they thought I'd abandoned them.

lol! exactly, staff are not allowed annual leave...
We normally use a pet sitter for 2 x daily visits when away, as neither or the cats we've had get on with other cats and prefer their creature comforts at home (both quite old). We still get the clinginess and general scolding when we get back however...0 -

I'm getting a pet sitter for our week away in July. It's cheaper and less upsetting for my clearly sensitive monsters!
They're better today but I couldn't move for them yesterday, every time I sat down they were on me. Which is very cute I guess:pThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Our old cat learned to talk when we put him into a cattery for a week. Previous to that he never really miaowed, when we picked him up, he spent the entire journey home in the car shouting his head off. We thought they'd given us the wrong cat!Make £2026 in 2026

My 2 came back shouting their heads off too, my boy is usually a chatterbox but my girl barely makes a sound. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

my last cat jess (rip) was exactly the same - she never miaowed unless you stepped on her tail or something then when she came back from the chattery she'd suddenly found a voice.0 -
I've never used a cattery, my brother always popped round, but friend does. Cat always grumpy as hell when she picks him up even though he's been spoilt rotten and loved it!
However, even when brother house/cat sat Tomcat would always be stroppy when we got back, he'd be dying to say hello but would strop off for a bit. Sadie would be fine, Thomas was always a bit of a baby though
They are funny aren't they
