Cancelling TalkTalk

I'm currently on a contract with TalkTalk and I've had several problems with them.
Started as just a phone/broadband customer then I took the YouView when they first introduced it.
I've had poor service in terms of TV and broadband connection and I've been in touch a few times about this. They also changed some of the provided channels and when I called to query said they sent a letter, which I never received.
I've persevered but today my YouView connection got lost completely. It's just flashing in the Nearly There mode. I called, spent an hour on the phone being told to turn it off and on again then they finally booked a technician for in a weeks time.
I phoned up and told them I'd had enough and want to cancel. There's 7 months left on the contract and I was told I'd have to pay a monthly fee and £200 for the YouView box (that doesn't work).
This doesn't seem entirely fair considering the number of issues I've had with the service and one week wait for a technician.
Has anyone else had any similar issues or have any advice to offer? TIA
