NI Government reviewing wheel clamping in N. Ireland

I would urge everybody in NI to respond to the survey currently being conducted into the Future Regulation of Vehicle Immobilisation in N. Ireland;

http://www.dojni.gov.uk/index/public-consultations/current-consultations/consultation-document-future-regulation-of-vehicle-immobilisation-on-private-land-feb-2014.pdf

Even if you are not resident in NI, you can still express how well/badly parking is currently managed in your area.

    Plenty of opportunity to educate them, especially from para 2.11 to 2.15.

    Indeed, in particular I am going to put them right on 2.15
    The (clamping) ban has not been in place for sufficient time to enable an evaluation to be made of its effectiveness. Prior to its introduction there had been concerns that banning wheel clamping would encourage rogue operators to move to ticketing, where there is currently no regulation. To date, however, there has been no evidence to verify this concern.
    Rogue operators issuing fake PCNs? Perish the thought.
