Flowers to send, a reliable service cheaper than £25?

I've no connection with them other than as a customer - they send the most glorious scented narcissi, and I've already ordered some for my mother for mothering sunday.

I do have a distant connection (so I *always* perk up at other people recommending them :D) but have only ever received flowers from scillyflowers. They always arrive tightly budded but open quickly and last well- keep them away from the radiators though.

The suggestion for phoning a local florist is a great one though; you can talk through what you want and they'll deliver.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

    M&S every time.

I received a tragic Mother's Day arrangement sent Interflora from a really good local florist when my daughter was studying abroad.
Flowers looked like they'd nicked them from the park and stuck a ridiculous frill around the outside. Took them back obviously.
It was a big outlay of money for my daughter and I thought they were really taking the proverbial.

I don't think small local florists can always cope with the 'big' days when they get a lot of orders.

I'm not saying M&S are the best but they are pretty reliable and the quality is usually good.

I use Flying Flowers to send to my sun each year for her birthday. I used to use it for Mother's Day too.

Another vote for Bunches. Used them several times and the recipients have always commented on how lovely the flowers are and how long they last.

I've used M&S a few times and I've been happy with them.
  • Hi all,

I wonder if any one can 'recommend' from previous good service, a reasonably priced service to deliver flowers.

I would like to send my mother flowers for Mothers Day but would like it not to cost more than £25

Can anyone recommend? After valentine and mothers day disaster stories that I have heard of in previous years I thought I would try to go for recommendation than cheap advert

    Thanks

Go online, find a decent florist local to your Mum, and pay over the phone! I even did this for flowers for a relative in New Zealand (using a 1p/min access number of course!)

Agreed on finding someone local. Searches address on google maps, then did find nearest florist. They had a website, delivered locally for free, but prices about £25 online, but rang up explained what it was for and said I wanted to spend £20 and no problem.x

I've used Serenata a couple of times and never had a problem.

I used Serenata for Mother's Day last year and would never use them again. It wasn't so much the fact that some of the flowers were dead on arrival as that Serenata didn't believe me when I told them. The reviews on Trust Pilot at the time were shocking; however, I've just had another look and they do seem to have picked up, although there are still some very poor ones.

Can you google the independent florist who lives closest to your mum? You will pay no commission, get fresh flowers and a personal touch - something which none of the order gatherer companies mentioned above can provide.
