'Slamming' and BG

A number of months ago, we changed our gas-and-lecki utilities provider from the one we'd been using for yonks, to another MUCH cheaper one. One of the principal reasons was the attempts by several salespeeps at 'that first outfit' to force the provision of telephone services onto us, without our knowledge or consent. This is apparently called 'slamming', it is widespread and illegal, and the various industry regulators know all about it - but do nothing to stop it.
A couple of weeks ago, they were at it again. I got a call from a skilled salesman in 'that first outfit's' so-called WinBack team, who sought to persuade me to transfer my gas-'n-lecki business back to them. 'Not in a month of Sundays!' says I - or words to that effect - and hung up.
Surprised I am, but only a little, when I receive in the post, 10 days ago, a couple of letters from 'that first outfit' welcoming me back into the fold, and detailing what I had 'agreed' to.... They're at it again!
I immediately got onto my preferred supplier who made 'a note on my account', and also wrote to the Director of Customer Service at Helmont House, Cardiff CF10 2NB, expressing my outrage at the illegal practices actioned in their name by their employees. Today I received a letter from said Director saying - '....welcome to British Gas and thank you for choosing us to supply....'
What do I have to do to get these parasites off my back?

I'm sure you'll be pleased to know BG don't sell telephone services any more, they got shot of that

The 'Welcome to British Gas' letter will be automated, as opposed to a response to your previous letter.
I would recommend you contact BG's energy sales department with your complaint, they will transfer you to the 'Customer Liason Team'. They will listen to the call and if what you say is true then you will be transferred back to your supplier and the agent's manager notified.0
