Tinted moisturiser or foundation or BB cream?

I usually wear tinted moisturiser with concealer and powder, and I like the natural look, but as I get older I'm getting more blemishes and need more cover. I don't know whether to stick with tinted moisturiser, try foundation or perhaps BB cream. I'm fair with OK skin and I usually buy boots No 7 products. I tried the boots No 7 stay perfect foundation today, but it seemed a bit heavy.

I'm no expert and have loads of trouble with any kind of foundation or tinted moisturisers. A few weeks ago I bought Bourjois CC cream and so far so good. I use a lot less than usual and the coverage is nice, quite a powdery finish when it's settled.

I also bought the Bourjoir concealer and that blends nice too.
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
  • I wear a BB cream the revlon one as it's factor 30 with a bit of concealer underneath and powder on top.

I also like the maybelline one but I can't remember what the SPF is on that, less than 30 I think
  • Have you tried No7 essentially natural foundation and their triple protection tinted moisturiser? Both these are good, as is Clinique moisture surge tinted moisturiser though that is more expensive.

Estee Lauder Double wear mixed with moisturiser or whatever your skin needs, highlighter et, then you can customise the coverage :)

I do that too. I like the range of colours that Estee Lauder has as my skin has a yellow rather than pink tint to it. Alternatively the Nivea tinted moisturiser has a nice coverage.

I have mild rosacea so I need something that covers reasonably well and doesn't cause flare ups, EL (as recommended by wannabeslim) and Nivea tinted are the two that work for me.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
  • I have quite a few thread veins across my cheeks & nose, which I prefer to cover. I tried the Garnier BB cream, and have since moved on to a brand called Missha which I got on Amazon, and I love it. Much more natural looking than any foundation I've tried. I like to set it with a little powder, and it seems to do the trick for me.

Hope you can find something that works well for you, OP.

Another recommendation for the Bourjois CC cream, great coverage and lovely finish without feeling at all heavy. The No7 triple protection tinted moisturiser is also good, a brilliant coverage for a tinted moisturiser.

I use the Nivea tinted moisturiser too, its quite matte and, as you say, gives good coverage and is very soothing and moisturising, its quite good under other products as well, I use MAC full coverage sometimes when my skin is a bit dry for DW (although nothing compares to my beloved DW) and the Nivea works well with this.

I think I have mild rosacea too, I haven't been diagnosed I find the L'Oreal green cc cream works very well to cover red but even the lightest colour is very dark and I'm tanned all year round, its supposed to be self adjusting but I don't find its light enough, I'm still looking for a skincare range that isn't stupidly expensive to combat the red.

I am enjoying Mac Face & Body (colour N1) at the moment, Its low-to-medium buildable coverage, water-resistant and long-wearing.

Costs a pretty penny to buy initially (£21.50 - £27 depending on the size), but lasts for ages and at the end of the day you get what you pay for - I always buy the 120ml rather than the 50ml as its much better value.

I definitely think a CC cream would be better than a tinted moisturiser of a BB cream.
