Lady at the job centre said i will be coming off Contribution based JSA and to go on ESA. as there are no jobs suitable for me to do with my skin complaint. Have to get a medical cert before I can put in for it. Do I have a medical before I can claim . Got no idea any help would be most grateful

you need to get a fit note from your GP then you will be on the assessment rate of ESA for the first 13 weeks can be longer you will then be sent a form to fill in which will be used with any other evidence to decide if you should be given ESA long term this may or may not involve a face to face assessment .Lady at the job centre said i will be coming off Contribution based JSA and to go on ESA. as there are no jobs suitable for me to do with my skin complaint. Looking at your previous thread and noticing your age you should check to see if you are eligible for Pension Credit.
