Lady at the job centre said i will be coming off Contribution based JSA and to go on ESA. as there are no jobs suitable for me to do with my skin complaint. Have to get a medical cert before I can put in for it. Do I have a medical before I can claim . Got no idea any help would be most grateful

    you need to get a fit note from your GP then you will be on the assessment rate of ESA for the first 13 weeks can be longer you will then be sent a form to fill in which will be used with any other evidence to decide if you should be given ESA long term this may or may not involve a face to face assessment .

    Looking at your previous thread and noticing your age you should check to see if you are eligible for Pension Credit.
