Yes because you would have signed to say you owe X amount of interest on a debt.
Seeing this is your argument can you upload a document you got Nationwide to sign saying they owe you X amount of interest?

You don't earn interest on credit card balances, credit cards are a form of borrowing not savings, if you want to earn interest get a savings account.
As for not getting statements, this is a different issue, they either do not have your correct address or your account is setup to receive on-line statements.0
