HSBC payout

Options
I've just received a very nice letter from HSBC which they say my claim for PPI has been accepted. I only complained 7 weeks ago and they apologise for the delay. I cant remember how much I paid but they say they are paying it all back with 8% compensation on payments made this will give me £830. Will I just accept their word for how much I paid. I'm surprised its been dealt with so quickly!!
THANK YOU to MSE I would never have claimed if you hadn't advised me how to go about this

Well, unless you have documentary proof that you paid more than they are offering you certainly won't get any more.
