Got an e-mail from Tesco today. For £69.99 you are covered for search fees, surveys etc up to £1500 if you are gazumped by more than £1000. I haven`t read the small print `cos I`m not moving, but it might be useful to others.

some of the T&Cs seem onerous:
The insurance remains in force for a maximum period
of 3 calendar months from the date you receive
written acceptance of your offer to purchase the
property. You will not be offered any renewal of this
policy once cover has ceased.
We got delayed by the chain for months and then our sellers used the delay to find another buyer to gazump us.
the payout amounts seem low.
