Anyone here do Roamler?

I've been doing it for a few weeks now and have earned £35.5 :-) definitely one of my most profitable, and exciting, money making ventures!

In case you're wondering what it is, it's an iPhone app that allows you to complete tasks for money and/or XP. You move up in levels, and each level brings with it more money, tasks and benefits. Tasks are made available about 3 times a week and there's usually at least 10 available on the dashboard on a regular basis, within varying locations.

An example of a task is the Flower check, which is made available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the same locations. It pays £2.50 and all you need to do is go to the location (example - Morissons in Walworth road) and take a picture of the flower stand, a picture of the plant stand and answer a couple questions.

It doesn't cost me any extra to do these tasks because I have a travelcard so profit! Plus it works with GPS so it alerts you where you're near a task/how far you are :-)

  • I have just registered with them and got past level 1. Want to do some tasks this week, the only thing that I have got a bit of a problem with is that a lot of the tasks are so far away.

Been using it two weeks, not got past level 1 yet due to lack of tasks. There's another thread about this already.

Field Agent is more lucrative in my experience, but it does have some potential.

I know what you mean. I think they're fairly new so it should hopefully become bigger soon. I live in London and most tasks are fairly far from me (but within London still), but if they're accessible by train/bus within the zones for my travelcard I do them. Takes a bit of effort but worth it for me xx

Not much tasks for you? I managed to get past level 1 within a day, possibly a couple of hours. Maybe it differs depending where you are?

I've seen that thread, I think, but it doesn't seem that active :(

Unfortunately, Field Agent doesn't really work out for me! Haven't earned anything as yet. There's rarely anything close enough to me (they're usually in Essex or Ilford!) and when there is, it disappears very quickly! Not to mention the jobs seem harder.

    There's also Streetspotr!

Total rubbish that app is IMO so far

They offer the very SAME menu checks that Roamler do which pay £4 for a lot less

not even worth bothering with so far if I am honest

When I go to my invite page it says 0 left :( I think I need to be on level 3 before I can invite people. I'll ask them and get back to you.

**update - they got back to me already - when I reach level 3 I can give out invites.

Yeah, it is kinda rubbish. I think it's because it's so new here. Negatives are that they take quite a while to approve the tasks (whereas Roamler usually do it in less than 4 hours) and they take 30 days to pay out! (Roamler is instant).

However, if it doesn't cost me extra (in terms of travel), I still do it.

Just installed Roamler after it being on my store favourite list for a while. Quite a few tasks nearby but only on level 1 so can do Banana checks and the Roamler questionnaires.....will give it a whirl :)
