Cat vomit stains on light carpet

Hi all, I have a light carpet in my living room and now and again my cats are sick on it, its happened again tonight when I got in from work, it was already there, furballs. I've got some pet stain remover stuff but it still doesn't get rid of the stains totally. Any recommendations/tips would be welcome.

Simple Solution (for pet accidents) worked on coffee stains on an old rug of ours, may be worth a try!0

I find Stardrops applied neat gets most stains out of carpets. just sponge it and keep sponging it with clean water. by the time you get the foam out the stain has usually gone.0

I've used "Vanish Power foam clean and fresh" which comes in a very tall aerosol can. It removed poop stains- only problem the patches are now cleaner than the rest of the carpet!!
600ml can- says "5 X more dirt removal" at top.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I've always found a steam cleaner brilliant for removing any marks left by my cat being sick on my carpet.
I'd love to know though why my cat only tends to be sick when I have new carpet?? It's one of life's mysteries. :rotfl: Perhaps his way of marking his new territory?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
