Just received an FCN from NP - Advice pls!

Hi all.
Just received a 'Fixed Charge Notice' from the infamous NP. It was for one of their owned car parks, and the Fixed Charge Notice is for almost 230 times the original parking charge. Ridiculous. The special bit is that the observation period was for, believe it or not, 7 seconds!! Obviously there was no ticket bought.
I've read a good deal of the information contained on these forums but this is only the second parking charge i've had, and the first from a private company. I notice the rules changed a couple of years ago and just wondered if some kind soul might be able to point us in the right direction with how to deal with this.
Cheers.

Do you mean N.a.p.x.x.x?
Anyway read the sticky thread and use the template appeal - once you get the NTK in the post. You want some ammo to trip them up with and that's why I would wait for the NTK if this ticket was a windscreen ticket. So far if they own the car park and you've only got a windscreen ticket you've got less to appeal on than most posters with this lot, except the seven seconds thing of course! So read the sticky thread for NEWBIES and be ready to send the first appeal template letter ONLY when the first letter arrives if this was only a PCN on the windscreen.
Do not post any information about who was driving and do not reply to pm's because this bunch might pm people to confuse the matter and obtain info - and they do print out forum threads. I would be happy for you to pm me when you get to POPLA stage as the appeal must be specially written if it's N.a.p.x.x.x. If you already have the postal Notice then pm me a copy over the weekend - and a pic of the signage - and we can discuss it off-forum.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
