verbally accepted job offer, when do I stop claiming JSA?

Hi, I've had a call through and accepted a job. However have not signed any paperwork.
Do I need to tell the js now or does it wait until after I've got something formal?
Won't be starting for 3 weeks.
What is the date I stop claiming? The date I accept the offer, sign the paper work or start?
Thanks

Hi there, continue to claim until the Job actually starts however remember that DWP will still expect you to look for work in the period between now and the job starting!0

You can sign off up to a week before your claim will end. Your JSA will be calculated up to the day before you start the new job. I wouldn't mention anything to them until your job offer is confirmed in writing, to be on the safe side. With me, I wasn't expected to carry on looking for jobs, just to be "available" if something happened to turn up. With only three weeks before you're due to start that's highly unlikely and if your experience is anything like mine, the Job Centre will just be happy to get you off their books and won't give you any hassle.0
