Grosfillex (or similar) wall cladding for bathroom

We are planning to renovate our bathroom and the bathroom salesman showed us grosfillex panels which looked very good in the showroom. Effectively they look like large ceramic tiles and you can get panels with smaller "tiles" on to make feature areas.
The walls are not great and would need skimmed at the very least and partially tiled so it may not be much more expensive to clad the entire bathroom in this stuff instead. We also have issues with cold/damp walls as the bathroom is rarely heated and has two exterior walls so tiling will perpetuate a constant battle against mould on the grouting. We will be installing better ventilation, but there will probably still be some issues with damp.
Has anyone any experience of having these in their bathroom, are they worth the money? The ceiling is also in the eaves and is partially sloped, I have just noticed that pvc cladding also exists for ceilings so any opinions on that (or good suppliers) would also be gratefully received.
