Special Delivery

Hi Folks,
Soon starting a business which requires postage of parcels, that should be insured for up to around £500, therefore requires signature.
Does anyone have any idea how I go about getting pre-paid special delivery envelopes and what the process is? Also, as this is a small business to start with, everything will be sent from my home address, is there a way of having a return address on the package but doesn't list my home details specifically as I'm worried about safety issues?
Thanks in advance.

You just buy the prepaid envelopes, Post Office sell them, I imagine you may be able to buy them online too.
As someone in business you must reveal the identity of who the person is contracting with and so no way of avoiding giving your name and an address. You could hire a virtual office to get an alternative address to give for both purposes if you wanted.
You could alternatively get a PO Box but then all they have to do is phone the post office and they will give the real address for the PO Box0 -
InsideInsurance, that is very helpful, thank you!0

You can buy prepaid envelopes but you still need to take the parcels to a PO. They will give you a receipt to guarantee the compensation and delivery time. If the volume you post is sufficient you can get RM to pick up from you, leave you with paperwork to claim if necessary and possibly get discounted postage rates.0
