Unaccompanied minor flight charges

We're about to have to start flying the (4) kids back for contact weekends from Germany, where their Mum is taking them to live. Flybe is the carrier on the most convenient route, but they charge a massive £32 per child per flight, so over £250 per weekend return trip in addition to the ticket prices.

Does anyone have any experience or ideas on how to reduce the charges, including ticket charges? We're already booking as far ahead as possible.

Traditional carriers such as BA, bmi and Lufthansa, may be cheaper for the supplements.
Have you considered www.airberlin.co.uk , not sure if they do unaccompanied minors.

The best way to do this is to do total cost comparisons, with a rating for convenience, this will give a clearer picture of your options.
