  • Thanks for asking! It's good to know people care! :)

Not heard anything since my last letter! Looks like i've got them against the ropes.

They've got until early august to settle my official complaint or it goes to the Ombudsmen...

I am being harrassed by these people also. 12 times they have called at my workplace today. The office staff have called the police.

i went through all this with this company.

i sent the 12+2 letter and then the 30 days letter.

not heard from them in months and they have sold on my debt to another collector.
Watch this space.... Will update soon!

They did this to me, and one call was enough to make me see red. Send them a letter saying they aren't allowed to ring you at work, and they can't. You'll find some very good advice on this thread.

Also they aren't allowed to let any of your work colleagues know what kind of company they are. If they do, they've committed an offence.

    Keep us updated!

Looks like i have this to look forward to. Hopefully the next company won't be so nasty...

It is, actually, an offence, under the Data Protection Act, 1988, for a debt collection agency to pass your details on/sell the 'debt' on to another dca once they have been unable to provide the cca. Should this happen, you would be well within your rights to report the original dca to the Information Commissioner's Office.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Well said Rog, these morons knew they were on to plums so selling the debt on is the only thing they had left. The new company cant enforce this debt any more than the original company could.

Fallenangel, sounds like you got em good and proper. Well done, I think you have been brave in taking them on and your story should give hope to others..:T
