Once you have written to them, they should not contact you again, unless they choose to write and tell you that they are not pursing you for payments.
Based on my recall of your situation, you were paying Regal for several years? One possibility is that Allied will send the debt back to them. But if Allied cannot get the CCA together, there is a good chance that Regal do not have it either. In which case, if they are clever, they will decide it is going to be better to keep quiet and hope that you will not contact them.
If Regal do start chasing you, and then you will have to start the whole jolly game again. Only if they fail to produce the CCA, they will have to return the money they collected from you in recent years. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
well yesterday was the last day for them to reply and still nothing in this mornings mail.
i have sent off the last letter this morning, so fingers crossed i have heard the last of this situation...
if i happen to get a letter chasing me for payments or a court order what should i do ??
i am worried seeing as i have heard nothing maybe they are preparing my case for the courts !!!0 -

If they were preparing your case for court (which they are not) your defence, and the only one necessary, is that they have not provided you with the CCA.
They simply cannot get a judgement in their favour without the CCA.
It is more likely that they will try and send the file back to Regal. If they sell it on to anyone else, you need to complain to the OFT.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
well just got to sit and wait yet again and see if they write to me....
lemma 1968 how are you getting on are you still waiting ???0 -

still i have tried to contact them and they will not listen....

Hi kurjam - you have done EXACTLY the right thing. Well done.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

It has now been a week.
I know we cannot prove a negative, but please stop worrying about this. Natwest cannot tell you anything because it is no longer their debt.
At this point in time Allied cannot chase you for it.
They could refer it back to Regal or Natwest, but if they do, all that happens is we go through the CCA saga again. And if Natwest or Regal have the CCA, then they would have given it to allied before now.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Just to add to RAS's advice - make sure that you keep copies of ALL correspondence.
Wait for someone else to make the next, if any, move.
In my opinion, it is likely that this 'alleged debt' will be picked up by another DCA who may try and pursue, in which case you may need to go through the process again.
But please don't, whatever you do, contact the Bank - they will see this as the green light for further harrassment.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
